  09/21/2001 - Students Donate Car Wash Proceeds
The senior members of the Holy Name High School varsity football team held their fourth annual car wash here at Automotive Excellence on Saturday, September 15th.  Proceeds, which normally go toward incidentals that benefit all student athletes, were donated to the New York City Fire Department Relief Fund.  This decision was proposed by team members and the vote was unanimous.  We are proud to be associated with such fine young men and their coaching staff, led by head coach Dan Conwell.

  08/20/2001 - Indian Tickets Winner Announced
The winner of a pair of Indians tickets for the game against the Chicago White Sox to be played on Sunday, September 9th is: Kara Kozub of Parma, OH.  Congratulations to Kara.  Let's hope the Tribe is still in contention for the A.L.   05/31/2001 - Bloodmobile Coming to Automotive Excellence
On Monday, June 25, 2001 we will be hosting an American Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE.  The Blood Mobile will be at our facility between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM.  A donor must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 105 pounds and be in general good health the day of the blood drive.  Area merchants will be donating food, so plan on a quick snack after giving blood.  The procedure takes no more than 45 minutes.  Please call (440) 582-2826 or E-Mail us from to set up an appointment time to help others!

  05/30/2001 - Two New A/C System Services Announced
AE announces two new air conditioning system services.  Both services address specific problems, historically difficult to solve.  The first service involves a sophisticated piece of equipment called an air conditioner flush and purge machine.  This would be a strongly recommended procedure in the event of the failure of the compressor portion of the vehicle's air conditioner.  Fragments of the compressor can contaminate and damage any downstream component of the system, resulting in very expensive repairs shortly after the compressor replacement.  The second is a high tech cleaning/disinfectant process designed for use in the vehicles evaporator.  The evaporator box is located inside the car, and is a breeding ground for bacteria, spores and allergens.  This two step process is especially effective in ridding your vehicle of stale odors most noticeable when the air is turned on.  The "FrigiClean" process is the most effective procedure we've ever seen.

  04/27/2001 - Buying A Safer Car
We are pleased to announce the availability of an excellent 32 page booklet titled "BUYING A SAFER CAR FOR CHILD PASSENGERS, 2001".   It is a publication of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) and is intended to assist you when purchasing a vehicle for your family. It includes information on safety features specific to child passengers and a "family car checklist" to take along when you shop for your next vehicle.  You can request your FREE copy online, by giving us a call or by stopping in.  They will be available while supply lasts.  This is one of the best booklets we've seen in recent years.

  04/26/2001 - AAA AAR Year-End Drawing Winner Announced
Winner in the year-end drawing for a new television set was Mike Schneider (right) of North Royalton.   He is shown here receiving his award from Approved Auto Repair (AAR) representative Rick Wilkolak (center) and Gary Stinnett, service manager of Automotive Excellence at 12950 York Delta Road in North Royalton where  Schneider had his vehicle serviced.  Members may participate in quarterly and year-end drawings simply by returning their evaluation cards after having work done at an AAR facility such as Automotive Excellence.
